Corona-Virus Procedures - In regards to employees

Please keep in mind that all of our protocols are developed with guidance from the CDC, AHLA, NYSHTA, and from the East Hampton Town business recovery committee with the following goals in mind,

  1. Reduce face to face contact and surface contact sharing as much as possible.
  2. Create scenarios where social distancing can be maintained as easily as possible.
  3. Ensure that every guest room is cleaned and disinfected to the highest possible standard between guests.

In regards to employees;

  • All employees before they begin work will sign a form which states that they do not currently have any of the symptoms of COVID-19, and have been trained properly as to the employee, guest, and disinfection and cleaning protocols
  • Require workers who are exhibiting signs of illness to not report to work and to seek medical attention. We maintain and follow established CDC policies regarding when employees who have become ill are permitted to return to work. An employee with known or suspected COVID-19 must follow CDC guidelines to self-isolate for at least 7 days after symptom onset and end isolation only after symptoms have improved and the employee has been fever-free and/or symptom free for 3 consecutive days without medication before returning to work.
  • There will be signage posted at the entrance of each employee entrance to make employees aware that if they are experiencing any COVID signs they must go home and self-isolate.
  • All employees should be trained on the importance and expectation of increased frequency of hand washing, the use of hand sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol, and provide clear instruction to avoid touching hands to face.
  • Require all employees to wear face coverings at all times as directed by local health department guidelines. Such coverings shall be cleaned or replaced daily.
